Summer tip

A popular, almost flat trail leads to Berghaus Schwaben and back, with views of the main Allgäu ridge and beautiful alpine rose fields (blooming from mid-June — absolutely worth seeing!). Great for families and seniors. Duration: approx. 1.5 hours.

Mountaincart

A big fun experience for adults and kids: ride a mountain cart from the top station down a winding track into the valley.

Winter tip

Winter hiking trail

At 7 km, it’s one of the longest high-altitude winter hiking trails in the Allgäu.

Starting at the Hörnerbahn top station, the prepared circular trail leads past the serviced Berghaus Schwaben into the upper Bolgenthal area, heading toward the Riedberger Horn.

The route runs at around 1,500 m through a fairy-tale winter landscape. Benches along the way invite you to take a break, relax, and enjoy the views.

Duration: 2.5–3 hours.
